Doctor Who Tag.

Seeing as Doctor Who returned to our TVs on Saturday I decided to do the tag, I wasn't tagged by anyone and I probably could have done it before now, but I'm pretty hopeless with uploading at a reasonable time...

1. When and why did you start watching Doctor Who, and what made you become a fan of it?
I started watching it when it returned with Christopher Eccleston, I absolutely loved it and have been obsessed since. I’m not sure what made me become a fan but I watched it every weekend and if I missed it, I made sure I caught up, it just grew as something I loved and couldn’t miss I think?

2. Favourite quotes?
Soooooo many! I guess ‘We’re all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one!’ stands out. These could have a blog post of their own! Haha

3. Favourite theme songs?
This is the worst question for me to answer, I absolutely adore the whole of the Doctor Who soundtrack and am in awe of Murray Gold as a composer, so my top five in no particular order are; ‘Amy’s Theme’, ‘The Pandorica Suite’, ‘The Enigma of River Song’, ‘The Majestic Tale (of a Mad Man in a Box)’ and ‘The Impossible Girl/Clara’s Theme’.

4. Favourite episodes and scenes/moments?
‘End of the World’ stands out as one of my favourite episodes, one of my favourite small characters was in that episode as well (Jabe from the Forest).
‘Blink’ was another episode that I absolutely loved! ‘School Reunion’ – the who’s better battle between Rose and Sarah Jane was brilliant, and the goodbye the Doctor gives her is so much more meaningful now. ‘The Sound of Drums’, ‘The Shakespeare Code’ and ‘The Girl in the Fireplace’ are up there in my favourites too.

5. Least favourite episodes?
I haven’t been a big fan of Moffat’s writing?! I didn’t enjoy many episodes of Matt Smith’s era as the doctor unfortunately, but I loved Matt and Karen Gillan as the Doctor and Amy (and I liked Rory and River) – so that just about made up for it. Yeah it probably be one of those. I didn’t really like Fires of Pompeii either..

6. Favourite doctors (or do you disagree with idea of having favourite doctor and like all of them equally?)
I didn’t even know people would like the doctor’s equally? They all have different characteristics? Erm, William Hartnell because he started it all off and I thought he set a good standard, Tom Baker – not sure why I just loved him as the doctor and David Tennant – but he stands out as my all time favourite.

7. Favourite companions?
Sarah Jane, in old and new episodes. Rose Tyler, because the connection between her and Ten just made the story lines even better. Donna Noble because she added humour to the episodes.

8. Least favourite companions?
I wasn’t a massive fan of a lot of the early companions (in Classic Who) they irritated me too much, from the recent series’ I’d have to say Martha? Her character was a bit whiny?

9. Characters you relate to most?
That’s a tough one and I’m not sure I could actually answer that one! Hah

10. Favourite villains and villains that frightened you most?
Another tough one to choose, favourite villains? They tend to be the ones that frighten me the most – because they live up to the Doctor Who scare factor… Weeping Angels, Clockwork Robots, Silurians ( I think the actors did an amazing job at being lizardlike etc.)

11. Least favourite villains?
Not a big fan of the Dream Lord, and I thought the Snow Men were the worst villains in the new who, the visuals were fake and awful and the story line was poor.

12. Funniest moments?
Donna and Ten’s moment between the windows seeing each other again makes me laugh everytime. Strax as a character makes me laugh so much as well, so most of his ‘funny moments’. In the episode ‘End of Time’ the Doctor locks the Tardis like a car and at the time, it was hilarious!

13. Moments that made you cry?
Ten before he regenerated… ‘I don’t want to go’.

14. Saddest episode?
‘The End of Time’ because of the quote mentioned above.
‘Doomsday’, I don’t think there is a better Doctor-Companion combo then Rose and Ten.

15. Favourite friendship?
The obvious Rose & Ten (unless you want to call them a couple) but I love the friendship between Strax, Jenny, Madame Vastra, known as the Paternoster Gang with the Doctor. (One of the good things about Moffat’s writing.)

16. Favourite couple?
Ten and Madame de Pompadour. It was only one episode but they were one couple that should have lasted and imagine them travelling through time and space together.

17. Favourite actor?
I would clearly have to say David Tennant, but other than the Doctor, I thought Bernard Cribbins was brilliant in the episodes he was in. John Simm has been great as The Master as well.

18. Favourite Actress
I think there have been better actresses in Doctor Who than actors through the years, Elisabeth Sladen, Billie Piper, Alex Kingston, Jenna Coleman, Karen Gillan and Catherine Tate.

19. Favourite writer?
Russel T. Davies without a doubt. Richard Curtis did a great job with ‘Vincent & The Doctor’ though, Helen Raynor wrote a few solid episodes as well, following Daleks and Sontarans.

20. Actor you’d have liked to play 12?
Erm, either Rupert Grint or Amy Adams – purely for the ginger aspect and I think Amy Adams would have done a good job as a female doctor I think.

Thanks for Reading!

8th September 2013: sea air and stormy skies.

On Monday, I woke up pretty early (for the last day of summer holidays). Went and watched Maria do some horse riding - she's doing pretty well! I then had two more jabs (yellow fever and meningitis), had Mum's friend round with her two kids, who are friends with Maria, they staryed for lunch and stayed for part of the afternoon too. I then had to lay down for a bit, played some card games with Maria, had a hot chocolate and then went to bed.

It was back to sixth form for me on Tuesday! Great first impression of the new head! Saw some of the Year 7s (and I'm pleased to sat most them are shorter than me - for once!) I also realised how many new teachers there is! There are two lovely photos around of me, one even made it onto the school website - joy! When I got home, I maria-sat and went to bed eaerly because I wasn't feeling well at all!

Wednesday was a day off! However, I spent it in bed. Guess who had a reaction to the meningtis jab, it was lovely! Again another evening mariasitting, we watched Great British Bake Off.

Thursday, I went back into sixth form, had 3 English Lit lessons, came home, maria-sat again and had another early night.

I only had to go in for one lesson (Media Studies) on Friday, which turned out to be my best lesson of the week, even though we didn't really do much, but I think that just highlights how I struggled with all the others! Went home, got stuff sorted, went and did club, got picked up, went to Dads, had some chips and yet another earlyish night.

Saturday, Dad and I went to Sainsburys, came home, had lunch, chilled for a bit, went out for a hot chocolate, came back again and listened to some old songs (good old 90s and 00s stuff!).

Sunday, we went to Gosport for the day, the weather wasn't too great! Still got to see the mariner, the boats and the spinnaker tower and stuff. Then a dark drive back to Mum's houses, I went for a little walk with Maria and got some other stuff done in the evening.

Again, I'm seriously really sorry for the shortish and late blog, I am pretty sure I'm gonna get this week's blog up on time!!

Also, it would be really great if you could check out my best friend's new blog, it's about all things gluten free, but some of the ideas on there are great whether you can have gluten or not! You might be seeing more of Philippa around on my blogs in the next year... (spoilers!) http://philippamanuel.wordpress.com

Another great thing to follow is Philippa's friends' FB page, Ruth makes insane cakes, even if you like her page to see the awesome creations... https://www.facebook.com/rcbakesandcakes

Music of the Week!
Considering this week is late, I thought I'd give you some extra music to listen to :)

First of all is Mr. Frank Hamilton! He recently released his first music video for his single off his upcoming EP 'Summer', it's a beauty of a video and it's a bit of a British tune! (all about summer being late, and rain etc...)
Summer - Frank Hamilton: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7q4DhFrvYhA

Next up is an old song, but it's one I used to love and I thought I'd share it with you as the singer is now on Strictly Come Dancing...
Murder On The Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsISfQAXE60

This third song is from some very talented guys...
Amethyst Blues - Skylarks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4AmxL2qN8E

The next song, you may have heard last year on X Factor, but here it is with a music video and studio recorded sound...
Mountains - Lucy Spraggan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuYuuF_JyKM

The last song is from a singer that after every public event in Britain in 2012, I was kinda bored of, but this song was always one of the better ones of hers from that year...
Wonder - Naughty Boy ft. Emeli Sande: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kASjW_aPbQ

Photos... (excuse the first one, they get better - i promise!)

1st September 2013: 'when it rains it pours.'

So, I'm behind on uplaoding blogs, and I don't seem to be catching up! This blog entry will probably be a little thin, and will probably seem like ages ago! So... Let's do some time travel!

Monday, didn't really do much, apart from lots of chilling! I played some swingball, did some colouring in (which I hadn't done for quite a while!) We then sat down after having dinner to watch Doctor Who at the Proms. (A little insight here - I enjoy listening to the siyndtracks on a regular basis, I find it a better twist on Mozart for revision too, and just generally when doing anything creative/calm).

Tuesday, we went to West Wittering, I buried Maria in the sand, had a paddle and got splashed by a kid about 3/4 (which was fine), but he then decided to pick up the sand in the sea (the stuff that goes like mud) and threw it at my sister - which I obviously wasn't too happy about! It's even better when the Mum encouraged him!! I went and had a rant with Mum and then soon fell asleep. I then got too hot, the beach got too busy and I quickly got irritated! When we got back I played (you've guessed it) Swingball!

Wednesday, went to Bognor Regis - shopping and got all my 'back to school' stuff and some books. We got back and I chilled to Lweis Watson whilst doing some blog work (also started planning next years project possibilities).

Thursday, we (I) packed up, Mum sorted food out and other packing stuff. We then headed home and went out for dinner, I had a lasagna which was pretty tasty.

Friday, things went into a bit of a whirlwind, I started getting by stuff ready for going back to sixth form, and had BBQ food for dinner.

Saturday, we went up to London for the day to watch West Ham vs Stoke. Before the game we went into a Doctor Who shop, I was speechless for many moments. They had a TARDIS genuinely used in one of the old doctor's episodes and literally loads of other cool stuff. I picked up a pencilcase, a badge and a poster with loads of quotes on it, because we all know how much I love doctor who and quotes :P As a bit of background info, my step-dad and sister support West Ham (I used to - but decided I wasnted my own team to follow, so chose Stoke!) So, I was very happy when I got to watch one of my all time favourite footballers - Jermaine Pennant - score for Stoke to grab a win!

Sunday, I sorted out my bookshelves and I've left it incredibly geeky! With Doctor Who, Hunger Games and Harry Potter being the main contents of them.

Again, I apologise for this being up late, I'm hoping things are going to slowly get back to normal, as this blog is named 'when it rains it pours' that was my July and August summed up rather perfectly.

Music of the Week!

This first song is a cover that two of my friends did for my other blog in a session, I've had it on repeat and the amount of feedback it got tells me it was enjoyed by all, so check it out! :)
Secrets (cover) - Haytham and Lailana: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1e9XbU-62Q

This second song comes from America, written by Bryce herself, she performed it live when she supported Lauren over in America, she's a lovely person and she has a stunning voice, go show her some love!
Sunshine - Bryce: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipWZJH65Va8

This last song, might be considered weird, I think you've just got to listen to it for the sound of it, I came across him a while ago, and then refound him recently when this video was released, enjoy!
Pipes - Tom Milsom: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q0_I8u36TgM

18th August 2013: music, waitrose and yawning.

This week hasn't been the best, I'm not gonna lie, it's been pretty bad, it started off alright, and finished all right but the bit in between wasn't a high in my year so far.

Monday didn't start off too well... As you may have guessed with last week's blog/if you keep up-to-date with my Facebook page. I think a bit of heat got to me... BUT I had a great day, even if it was only on about 4 hours sleep... Still, I got to watch the Womens Ashes at Wormsley Cricket Club, which I'm led to believe is where some of Vicar of Dibley was filmed... The estate it was on was very 'Hazll's Wood' from Danny the Champion of the World, including pheasants and a very stern looking farmer/owner... Still it was a lovely ground and a lovely day... Got to speak to family of the Aussie team, and saw all the players pretty close up... I must say, it was a dream to see Elysse Perry and Holly Ferling (two Aussies that I look up to) in the flesh and see them get wickets too. It was also pretty insane watching Heather Knight get her 50 and nearly her 100, that wwent towards her 150 odd... Then watching Brunt bowl... It was great to see people I look up to in my sport live and not behind a screen on the other side of the world!

Tuesday, I had a bit of a lazy morning - recovering. I woke up earlyish (8.30?), then promptly fell asleep again... I then woke up later that morning to a pneumatic drill, coming from the wall next to my bed... So I then got up at about 12.15... I had a driving lesson at 12.30... Which went well, however, I saw pretty much everyone I knew (slight exaggeration). But I had kids from the club I help out at cheering as I went round one corner, which was great fun! I did some emergency stops, and I can actually turn in and out of junctions now! So yeah, my lesson's are going well! :)

Wednesday, I was in a bit of a state... I had to keep myself busy, which I think I managed pretty well! Went to see my Grandma, then went to see Nan and Granddad, then wwent to see my best friend and had a catch up with her and her Mum, which was lovely! Maria, Mum and I (writing properly :P), went into town and did a quick bit of shopping because the pneumatic was winding my sister up too much! So we sorted out her game, then got a Mumford CD from the old days, and went and got some clothes, I was in need of some t-shirts and jumpers, so I got some of those and some socks! Then we came home, I wasn't hungry and I wasn't tired. I got about an hour and a half's sleep...

So at half four on Thursday morning, I got out of bed, fought the dark and made it downstairs to Mum making a hot chocolate... After watching multiple episoes of Big Brother through the night, I thought I should watch something that was a little better for my brain and watched an episode of Who Do You Think You Are, which was very interesting, it was the Lesley Sharpe episode, so if you want something interesting to watch, that's good and so was the Minnie Driver episode! I went back to sleep for a total of half an hour... Then it was off to pick up my friend so we could pick up our A Level results... Philippa was picking up her A2 results and I was picking up my AS results... With Philippa recieving an email to say she was into the uni she wanted to go to, I was already happy for her!! So, I know I've already said it, but I'm extremely proud!! And obviousy I'm happy and proud of everyone else who got into their chosen uni's :) To say I was nervous was an understatement, I couldn't stop shaking and I thought I was going to give my headteacher (who was handing us our results) a present that he didn't deserve/want on his shirt... But luckily that didn't happen... I stupidly opened my results envelope in the crush hall, saw them and bolted out the door and up the stairs, crying. With one of my English teachers shouting behind me, 'How did you do Evan?' Hah, surprisingly I did great in your subject Miss! A few swear words came out my mouth and all I could say was I can't go through another year. Saying that, I calmed down and sorted a meeting out for the next day... and couldn't stop looking over the grades, I was estatic about two of them and so annoyed at the other two!! English Literature - C, English Language - C, Physical Education - E, and Psychology - U.. Some would be happy with those, but I literally felt like I'd been let down in a subject I loved, and it had made my hate a sport I loved. I went home, cried a bit more, laid in bed, wondering what on earth was going to happen.

Again, not much appetite, and not much sleep! Still, I went into sixth form, had a meeting and pretty much got told I could carry on English Lit, Lang and PE for A2 and that was that (because it was the quickest way into uni...) I wasn't too happy, or comfortable come to that... My anxiousness was hitting a high, and I wasn't feeling too great... So, I went home a bit disheartened. However, my Mum rang my deputy head of sixth form up to sort out UCAS points, and asked about an option, so now I'm doing A2 English Lit, A2 English Lang and starting AS MEdia Studies, and staying on an extra year to finish that! It will give me more UCAS points and more time to think about Uni, because at the moment I don't think I can stand it! But we'll see...

Yesterday, I was at my Dad's and we went to go see a my great aunty, that I don't ever remember meeting, it was rather nice catching up and stuff, was quite sad at times, but there were a lot of laughs :) Then met another person I'd never met, which was nice, and then stayed in and watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I ended up going to bed early and falling asleep before the end though :(

Today was also a chilled day, saw one of my dad's friends, went for a waitrose lunch then looked around at some carpets and sofas, came home, played a bit of cricket with mum and maria, and then started writing this... 2 hours later, I've nearly finished... Things have been taking a while to do this week, and I've been trying my hardest to sleep at normal times... bleurgh!! Still tomorrow is a new week, and a new page, literally.

Music of the Week!

Following, the announcement of her new album release date, I fely it only right to put one of her new songs in... I must admit this is my favourite out of all her new ones she's released, and it's the soundtrtack to Kick Ass 2...

The next song is Katy Perry, and I can't stop singing along...

7th July 2013: BBQ, badminton, bare feet and a win for murray.

Pretty good week :)

Monday, I didn't really do much, I stayed up late to help promote some specific musicians with A LOT of music that day...
Tuesday was insane, spent the day asking ex-prisoners questions and hearing about their time in and out of prison... Some stories were sad, others were funny. Changed my mind about how prisons and the justice system works...
Wednesday, normalish day at sixth form, fell asleep as soon as I got home and then ended up staying at my gran's for the night :)
Thursday, spent my evening doing work that made no sense and not having a clue what I was doing.
Friday, busy day, sixth form, youth club and then babysitting (whilst watching tennis!)
Yesterday, chilled and cooked cottage pie with dad, which turned out to taste pretty good!
Then today, day helping people, chiling in the sun, playing badminton with the sister, wearing flip flops (which like never happens) and a BBQ. Oh and watched the WImbledon Mens' Final, nice one Murray! Well deserved, surely he's gotta be Sir Andy Murray now?

Music of the Week...

Sinners - Lauren Aquilina: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knzu1g-S0fI

The War - Josh Record: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPWUMiWQCAQ

Biblical - Biffy Clyro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrbMNBNMksk

1st July 2013: a good day for music.
2nd July 2013: spending the day with ex-prisoners...
3rd July 2013: change of plans.
4th July 2013: spending 3 hours on work that makes no flipping sense.
5th July 2013: another change of plan.
6th July 2013: summer (maybe one day my name will be on a coke bottle :P)
7th July 2013: BBQ, badminton, bare feet and a win for murray.

Sunday, 30 June 2013

30th June 2013: i should probably start typing now.

Monday 24th June: button moon and a new camera...

Didn't do much Monday, went to sixth form, had an alright day, came home, opened a parcel (which was my new camera!) Then managed to stay awake til dinner then fell asleep for a few hours...
Tuesday 25th June: House Athletics: 3rd!

Tuesday saw Tudor come third in house athletics, which for our house was an achievement! I then came home, sorted out my 'Music In Time Blog' and got frustrated as it still doesn't look professional cos of fonts and spaces, but oh well!!
Wednesday 26th June: 'three little birds'

A psychology trip and a cricket match was cancelled on Wednesday, meaning I didn't actually have to go in... As soon as I got in I was asleep again, I literally woke up for dinner and that was it, 20 mins, then I was asleep again for the night.
Thursday 27th June: a few more tiring and pointless hours.

After a pretty boring day in the sixth form block (apart from a strawberry fight in the common room...) A few of us went to do a few hours as sports leaders... This was pointless and included us standing watching others lead and run the activities, we were just making sure there werer no unruly kids... There was me thinking that was what all the teachers were doing there?

Friday 28th June: burned my thumb, now off to see After Earth.

Burned my thumb after getting chesse straws out the oven at club :( Still, I went to see After Earth (the film with Will and Jaden Smith) and I thought it was pretty good. Reminded me of a cross between Avatar and Hunger Games, don't even know why, but it did!

Saturday 29th June: more hay fever, horses and minibeasts.

I went to watch my sister ride a horse yesterday, and she's pretty good at it! I took lots of photos, and I also took lots of photos of bees, ladybirds and butterflies... However my SD card played up, yet again! Meaning, I lost them all :( Still, apart from that had a kinda chilled day and then went babysitting in the evening :)
Sunday 30th June: i should probably start typing now.

Today, I've tried to do some PE work, and got nowhere, so I gave up. I then went to a music thing in the park for a bit, until my hay fever got so bad and I got too hot, that I decided it was best I went home, I then sorted my room out a bit and then sat thinking about this longer than what I should have... So, took me longer to get started...

Things I have learnt this week:
 - Make sure the anti-histamine I'm taking is non-drowsy, especially when you're feeling ill anyways...
 - Make sure I get a new SD card ASAP!

Sunday, 19 May 2013

19th May 2013: busy printing and revising.

Monday 13th May: rainbows, hospitals and a late night.

Tuesday 14th May: ice packs, sleep and revision.

Wednesday 15th May: *insert inspirational quote here*

Thursday 16th May: revision and sleep.

Friday 17th May: one down, four to go...

Saturday 18th May: mind blown.

Sunday 19th May: busy printing and revising.
Well, if I said this week was uneventful, I'd be lying...

Monday was my first day on study leave, went in to sixth form to do cricket practical for A Level PE, my day then ended with me at A'n'E having x-rays on my knee, bit of physio style moving the knee about and me in quite a bit of pain... Tuesday, I slept, revised and went in for a PE theory revision session, slept some more and did some more revision... Wednesday, Psychology lesson (seeing as we still haven't finished part of the course) the sessions got screwed up by a certain person with authority demanding our teacher turned it into a revision session for the other class too... Thursday, PE revision session and psychology... Friday, my first AS exam, English Literature, I'm pretty sure I answered one of the questions completely wrong, oh well it could hae gone worse, I could have answered both the questions completely wrong, or not answered at all... Friday also saw the 1 week countdown to the Weekend Away with the youth club I'm a leader at, looking forward to it :)
Saturday saw me go for a walk along the river, sort of wishing I hadn't after, then  having a revision session with some friends, involving cake and cookies, having dinner out, then coming home for the Doctor Who Series Finale.... *spoilers* I think the fact it ended with the guy who sold Harry Potter his wand/the guy who does the voice for the dragon in Merlin being introduced as 'The Doctor', and River already being dead and Clara choosing the TARDIS, I can't even, basically Moffat, you little... dalek.
Today, I've been printing off the info for next weekend, sorting my stuff out for it, making sure I actually know what we're looking at whilst we're there, revising, helping my sister with her homework, eating and finding old music videos and tv programmes from when I was younger, being the classic 90s kid that I am!!

Music of the Week:

Get Lucky - Tom Crouch (cover): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnMZohkfRgY
sorry, yet another cover of this song, but I'm loving it!! Tom's a great singer/songwriter and some people may know him from being the ginger that toured with Gabrielle Aplin.

Popular Song - Mika ft. Ariana Grande: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmcdLOjGVzw
yes, the catchy part of the song is from Wicked, I think it's summery tune, came across it today, and cos I used to like Mika's stuff and have always liked Ariana's stuff thought I'd give it a listen, and I've had it stuck in my head all day...

Comin' Atcha! - Cleopatra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb-Ff4piZIg
an old classic, thanks to The Voice last week, I was reminded of this song, which was literally one of my favourite songs when I was younger, used to know the dance routine and everything... (should I really have told you that?)

Quote of the Week: 'everything starts with a wish, but everything can be real' basically, this is from Jessie J's website, snippet of her new song is up on her website too :)

speak next week after my 3 exams and the weekend away, and whatever else will happen :)

15th March 2013: red noses, pain and promo stuff.

Well, to start off with... My legs are so painful from yesterday!!! Got to take my sister to school, then went in for three lessons, Psychology, PE and English Lang, not very interesting.
I'm literally on my way out the door in half hour for the evening, to see my Green Team and then to go on and do some waitressing at an elderly people's place, so yeah...

Promo stuff seeing as it's Red Nose Day today...

Lauren Aquilina released a single and music video last night at midnight, which is insane!! You can watch amd download the single for however much you want to donate (all proceeds go directly to Comic Relief!) here: http://www.laurenaquilina.co.uk/wanderlust/

Also, I'm a bit of a Jessie J fan, and she's shaving her head tonight, so another way to raise money is to text 'DARE' to 70011 to sponsor her (£1 + std network rate.)
There you go...

17th January 2013: the cold wind cries.

I spent most of my day talking about similes and metaphors. Sat in a Year 7 class doing my community enrichment, being asked if a line was good enough to be put into their poem. The irony was that their poems had to be about the sun; at no point during today did I see the sun? Then later on after my PE lesson finishing the cardio system, we had to talk about yet more similes and metaphors, with hints of personification, but this time from the famous 'I Have A Dream' speech from Martin Luther King. With the quote 'sweltering with the heat of...' sticking in my mind. I'm sure you've all guessed what I'm going to talk about... The Snow. Even though, we've only had a sprinkle so far, pretty much the whole country is panicking about the snow that's due to fall all over England in the next few days... However, the forecast for where I live, has changed at least 3 times today... Increasing the amount of snow and the amount of time it's going to be snowing for... This morning I woke up thinking we'd have a little bit tomorrow morning, and that would be it, then I sat in school to hear it would be quite a bit over Friday and Saturday, and now I'm sat here thinking 'REALLY?!' because it's changed yet again! Now, they're saying we're going to have a fair amount of snow over Friday, Saturday, Sunday AND Monday... Believe me, I don't mind missing school and stuff, but I was sort of looking forward to playing cricket this weekend, and being able to see my Dad before his birthday, now both of these are looking unlikely.. The snow is great and it's VERY useful when taking photos, BUT you end up not being able to get anywhere, not being able to do much, and getting behind on a few days of school work, which isn't great, anymore.. Sat in those English lessons today talking about sweltering heats and the warmth of the sun, with my Mum texting me every now and then saying 'It's snowing!' and then 5 minutes later texting again to say 'It's stopped!!' The British weather needs to make it's mind up, it either needs to snow loads tonight so they call school off nice and early, preferably BEFORE I get there... Or it needs to be a little bit to make it look pretty but not cause too many disruptions... Personally, I love the snow, although I'm beginning to realise the for the people that hate it, do you hate the snow, or do you hate all the inconveniences caused by uncautious drivers, school closures, train delays and phone/electricity lines that can't take it so collapse on a house or a tree or a car...
Anyway, I'm off out for a walk in the snow that's just started outside... :P

Feel free to comment below, do you like the snow? Do you miss the summer?
