31st January 2013: eye see you.

So today, I haven't done much, did my community enrichment, spending an hour with Year 7s :/ and then had PE Theory and English Lit, then I came home to watch India v West Indies Womens match for warm-up for the World Cup, which is the 10th one! Had a cheeky burger king for dinner, most probably with a hint of horse meat. Now off out to Homegroup, to thank lots of people. So short one as I'm supposed to be out the door whilst I'm writing this.. If you're lucky there might be an edited copy of this photo in my new video... :P

Hyping with my best friend about seeing Girls Aloud in 31 days!! We're also prepping what we're gonna do when we go and see Lauren Aquilina, definitely in for a Nando's :D mwahaha!! #

Rightdoodles... More on transfer dealine and England Womens game tomorrow :D totally gonna try and wake up at 3.30am tomorrow to watch it... DEDICATION!

30th January 2013: a mad man in a blue box.

Nice sunset this evening, had a pretty chill day to be honest, only had two lessons, and did some work. Got some photos together, did a bit of filming, searched YouTube for some new music to obsess over, that barely anyone will have heard of :)
I cooked dinner tonight, cheesy pasta with some ham and broccoli, then for pudding I had vanilla angel delight and mixed berry coulis stuff, was soooo good!
Now some of you might now already, but I'm a massive whovian... Ordering another t-shirt tomorrow, which'll be my 6th I think?! Anyways, some of the cast got announced for 'An Adventure In Space and Time', including David Bradley (Filch from Harry Potter), Jessica Raine (Call The Midwife) and Brian Cox (unfortunately not the professor). David Bradley will be playing William Hartnell, which I think fits really well :) Looking forward to Easter so I can see another episode because my Saturday nights aren't that full of geekiness at the minute :/ Had a great conversation with my Mum about politics this evening and my conclusion is, I should run the country basics. Anyway, onwards and upwards, merry christmas and enjoy your mince pies, I'm off to bed becaus I'm insanely tired.

Goodnight!

evan. :)

29th January 2013: yawnn.

I'll warn you now, this is a short blog today. I'll get my act together soon, I still haven't written my review blog entry for last week :/ I feel like I've wasted 2 and a half hours of my life tonight by doing a rowing event training session... I got home, ate and slept. Tonight I'd like to sleep properly, and I've got three frees tomorrow to sort out coursework and sleep. Anyways I'm back off to bed cecause I'm tired, I'll take a better photo tomorrow and edit it too, and I'll try find a topic to write about, for definite!
That's it for now folks, sorry!

28th January 2013:baggy jumpers and hot chocolate.

I woke up this morning, feeling awful, I was tired and I felt like I'd played a 50 over game of cricket. This is what happens when you organise a fundraising event!! I played a bit of lacrosse in PE and soon wish I hadn't, I fell might have fallen asleep in psychology... I had done the work, so it wasn't too bad... Then I came home and went to sleep, then got woken up about half hour later by road works right outside our house and therefore couldn't get back  to sleep. So I then just layed in bed playing Temple Run 2 and listening to some music that has quickly become my favourite at the minute... Bastille and Kodaline, pretty chill stuff :)
I then checked my blog page for all the stats and stuff, and to start writing the draft for this... (which was originally going to be more interesting than this and be about the Iranian space monkey, but I'll cover that tomorrow) When I noticed, I'd had over 1,000 page views, which is crazy, so thank you to every one who reads this, whether it's every day, once every few days, once a week, or if this is the first time you're reading it.... THANK YOU! Now that I've got my fundraiser out the way I will definitely make sure I cover at the very least 3 topics a week :)
I'm off to wear a baggy jumper, listen to some music, drink hot chocolate and play on my Super Mario Bros. on my DS, shame there's no pop tarts in the cupboard...

goodnight!

evan. :)

Sunday 27 January 2013

27th January 2013: thank you and goodnight.

Last night was crazy!! The prep went really well and the hall looked amazing when we'd set it up. We were going fine until people started to turn up, and one of the waitresses decided to tip a few champagne glasses over... No names being mentioned, and surprisingly it wasn't me... So whilst we  were cleaning up that, a certain person then decided to spill the bucket of water, at the entrance, so we cleared that up, and we were off!!
The starter was  salmon on rocket with buttered brown bread and a slice of lemon. The vegetarian option was  mushroom pate with rocket and brown bread too. We then did a entry ticket draw, with the prize being Thornton's chocolates. Onto the main, the kitchen was 'heated' to say the least... Beef Bourguinonne with mash, beans, broccoli and carrots, and for the vegetarian option, a roast pepper cheesecake with the same veg. The guests then played heads and tails, winning after eights.Whilst this was happening, we were prepping the dessert, I thought it would be a great idea to turn the whisk on and whipped  cream went everywhere... The dessert was lemon tart, fruit compote and whipped cream. Skylarks then did a half  hour set, which was great! Me and 2 others then went up the front and got asked questions and we then had to answer them... Skylarks then did a second set, with some great covers, including Pencil Full of Lead. They then sang Happy Birthday, for one of the guests and then the goodbye's. Full of compliments, and lovely comments :D Then the tidying began... The guests left at around 10.45 and I got home at 1.45ish considering the venue's only 10 minutes away... Yes, we were that for that long!!
Today I was in bed until 12.15, I  was tired, and coudn't move my legs. I had leftover pizza for lunch, and didn't do much for the rest of the ay, I went with my Mum to drop some things back to my grandparents house from last night, we drove past the cemetry near their house and I saw the sunset, and I decided it was the perfect photo for today, pretty chill and a beautiful view, yeah it sounds cheesy, but today has been chill and all I've had is more compliments about last night, and a great sense of achievement. Obviously I wouldn't have been able to have done it all on my own, so thank you to my family, Phil, Sue, Debs, Skylarks, Lailana, Rosie, Hannah and Sophie, and of course everyone for coming!
I want to give Skylarks another shoutout! Go like their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/skylarksmusic and get a feel of their music on Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/skylarks
Thank you and goodnight!

26th January 2013: good morning sunshine.

Today's the big day! The sun is rising and although I didn't sleep too well I'm in a reasonably calm mood... Managed to print out table plan and table name 'signs' this morning, as well as get all the raffle prizes together. I'm now writing this chilling to some music, then I'll be sorting out music for the afternoon and the reception on my ipod, and need to charge that because I forgot last night :/
Rylan won CBB last night :D but I wanted it to be Rylan, Claire and Razor in the final 3.. Oh well!!
As I've been typing this, I've had a phone call saying one of our waiters are ill, so now in a bit of a panic... Fingers crossed we can get someone to stand in as we were slightly down as it was...
Anyways, I'm off to go and get final bits together, cook pizzas for our lunch, and sort this Ipod and slideshow out :)

Let you know how tonight goes in tomorrow's blog :)

25th January 2013: caramel latte milkshake.

Very late post today, and a very short one.. Sorry!! Been really busy today, with finalising things with my granddad for tomorrow, having psychology, PE and English Language, then having about an hour at home before going to club for 3 hours, and then going to Sainsbury's to pick up a b'day cake, mushroom pate, ice cream and a sneaky caramel latte milkshake which was soooooo good!! Tomorrow's post will be earlier tomorrow, and won't actually cover tomorrow night's events, obviously, cos it won't have happened yet... So will catch you up on that on Sunday :)
Off to watch Celeb Big Brother Final, Rylan to win! Then to make table name sign things, although I might do that with a few other final jobs tomorrow... Yep PLAN!

Night guys!

24th January 2013: jam sandwiches.

I had jam sandwiches today. Today's photo has a mug in it, representing the hot chocolate I am about to drink. The paper with text on is the programme for Saturday, I've had to print out 48 of them, and now I'm about to fold them all D: Interesting story, I went to a certain supermarket beginning with T, whom I'd had a letter from saying I could pick up a donation for the raffle... They denied sending out an email or ever receiving an email X_X so now we have to go back tomorrow and they'll sort it out :) It's not like I'd printed all those programmes with a thanks to this supermarket for their donation or anything :P
Hoping to have my camera back in full flow very soon, at the moment I'm borrowing one, so just need to sort out batteries then will have my camera taking photos and managing to connect up to the computer and everything :D
What about  this ball boy last night then? He should have respected that he was doing a job and shouldn't have acted in the way that he did (time-wasting), however I still don't agree with Hazard's reaction, yeah sure he wanted the ball quickly as any footballer would with a limited amount of time on the clock, however, is there really any need to kick him and obviously hurt him? Sport recently hasn't been getting a very positive view through media, whether news (TV/papers) or by matches/competitions being shown on TV. There's all these people saying there should be positive role-models in sport and yet the media manage to push all negatives to the front, so positives get forgotten. Most recently, events with Lance Armstrong in cycling, Shane Warne in the Big Bash, and now Hazard in football, all of these, I feel have been blown out of proportion through many ways, but they're obviously good at what they do, does it go to their head? Or does it just  give them a bit of publicity? Who knows.

Wednesday 23 January 2013

23rd January 2013: it's fweezing.

I wasn't at school/sixth form most of today becuse I had Psychology and EPQ, although my EPQ teacher didn't turn up, which didn't bother me too much. :P So today I had a bit more time to think of a photo to take, and I had time to do some more coursework and also print off the programmes for Saturday, now I just need to fold them :)
I found myself getting incredibly cold every time I went outside today, and yes I had a coat on... and an extra pair of socks, because there's nothing worse than cold feet... But luckily I didn't get to the point where my jaw ceased up and I couldn't move my mouth, so therefore couldn't talk like I did the other day... Hah!
Putting my favourite photos together every now and then for my next video, hoping for it to be up in the next week or so...
Another short entry today, as I've got LOADS to do. Hoping to find an interesting topic for a blog entry in the next few days... That's it for now!

Tuesday 22 January 2013

22nd January 2013: it's been a long day...

Say hi to 'Jolly Santa' his leg tasted very nice and I got a retweet from the singer I posted about the other day, Josh Record, I officially think he's amazinggg :)
It's been a long day... I've had 4 lessons of English, a subject that I'm loving right now! NOT! Oh and psychology... So I had a full day at school, I've got to finish 3 areas of my English Language coursework by the latest, next Tuesday, but I need two of these areas finished by Friday... Whilst I need to be doing this, I am trying to finish organising last minute things for Saturday, which is fast approaching...
Anyway back to this English coursework... It's fine, except I find it pointless, when I find something pointless I'll take my time to do it, and stupidly sometimes won't do it at all... Obviously this isn't my plan for this coursework, HOWEVER I do find it a bit stupid, BUT I am getting my head round it, and I will be doing it for when my deadline is... although, I do struggle to understand why we need to do TWO style models for an article, because all I will end up doing is finding the same things in both articles and repeating myself, which is surely pointless? I'm really regretting taking English Language, as you might be able to tell from my recent blogs, but most of the work I either find pointless or just a bit boring I guess... :S I don't want to offend my teachers cos they don't set the coursework, so it's not their fault... The only positive about this work is that I can do an editorial article about sexism in sport... You are all probably thinking 'here we go, evan's going to go on about how men think it's wrong for women to play cricket' but no, I'm going to put a spin on it (see what I did there?) I'm also going to show sexism towards men in sport... Have you ever seen men play netball or rounders? This is what I want to do my article about and if you have a view on it please comment, because you're likely to be part of my coursework... (if that's ok?) I'd like to know if you find sexism in sport towards women more prominent or men, what sports are included in this, and if you think this will change...

Thank Youu!!

21st January 2013: Tower of Mash.

The past few weeks, have been full of towers of mash. The past few days, have been full of snow. Both very similar, they're both white, fluffy? and inconvenient!
Moving on... Doing well on finalising things for this Saturday... 5 sleeps to go... Not doing so well on the English Language coursework... thinking of changing career option slightly... heading towards PE a bit more now... I don't care if certain people think it's not a proper option for GCSE/A Level, it's something I've always enjoyed and at the moment I wish I could get out of one of the English's... Also, my Mum told me about an article she read in the paper the other day about children under 11 not having set PE teachers, consequently meaning they have less hand-eye co-ordination, bat and ball motor programmes and so on. This motivates me to change that, and knowing secondary schools seem to have plenty, and I've enjoyed both work experience weeks I've done both in primary schools, and the youth club I help out at on Fridays , so surely it's right?!
Anyways, today's photo is of a massive oak tree with the sun behind it, I thought it looked pretty picturesque. I'm sorry entries recently have been slightly shorter, and less interesting, but I've been really busy and need to catch up and keep up on coursework and finalising the fundraiser, so there won't be in depth opinion blogs until sunday I guess...
Also I've set up another blog for reviews, there will be a '5 of the week' every weekend, so check that out :) http://thumbsupitsevan.blogspot.com

Thank youu :)

20th January 2013: The Mystery Food...

Today, I have walked in snow, eat my last jaffa cake from xmas, drank a variety of drinks and cooked a mystery item of food... which turned out to be a goats cheese and roast pepper cheesecake... not a lasagna, blueberry pie or moussaka... :P
Started sorting out a new video... however the next one will be my favourite photos I've take, so stills... But!! My friend is in the process of recording a guitar piece, so when the snow has cleared off, I'll will start recording videos for another new one :)
My school/sixth form opening late tomorrow so that's nice :) get some more things done...
That's it for now folks, will find an interesting topic tomorrow :)

19th January 2013: bit chilly.

Today's photo represents my evening spent playing guitar and keyboard attempting to make an original piece for my next video... which should be coming soon... Just getting ideas together, and sorting music out with my friend :)
Been quite busy today, went out for a walk to town this morning, had a cooked breakfast, gave my Dad his birthday present, and then went and got a sledge thing, and went to Sainsbury's to pick up ingredients for vegetarian meal for next Saturday. When I got home I did some English coursework, which is still in slow progress.. Now finalising final template for programme for next weekend, then I'll just have to finish the menu in few days, then get them printed :)
Also, a quick music suggestion... He's amazing, and when I described the song in the link below to my friend I said 'it's lovely'... Hmm, it was used as the background music in Sam Pepper's recent video, and I've fallen in love with him, the guy is called Josh Records, and he's got an EP coming out soon... so keep your eyes and ears peeled :) Josh Record - For Your Love

Enjoy the music..

18th January 2013: slow-mo videoo.

This is todays photo, I took advantage of the snow, and went for a walk to see the horses, and no they're not mine, or anything to do with me... Seeing as I didn't have to go into school/sixth form - whatever you wan't to call it, I decided to spend my day filming a video of the snow... It's only short, but it's a taster of what you could be seeing more of... I'd like to make more, but obviously there are other things that take priority at the moment, like my A Levels and this blog, so maybe every now and then one will pop up.
So there you go, short entry today, because I've got a programme to design!! Enjoy the video, and yes I played the guitar for the background music, it's a bit repitive but I've only really started learning since christmas.

17th January 2013: the cold wind cries.

I spent most of my day talking about similes and metaphors. Sat in a Year 7 class doing my community enrichment, being asked if a line was good enough to be put into their poem. The irony was that their poems had to be about the sun; at no point during today did I see the sun? Then later on after my PE lesson finishing the cardio system, we had to talk about yet more similes and metaphors, with hints of personification, but this time from the famous 'I Have A Dream' speech from Martin Luther King. With the quote 'sweltering with the heat of...' sticking in my mind. I'm sure you've all guessed what I'm going to talk about... The Snow. Even though, we've only had a sprinkle so far, pretty much the whole country is panicking about the snow that's due to fall all over England in the next few days... However, the forecast for where I live, has changed at least 3 times today... Increasing the amount of snow and the amount of time it's going to be snowing for... This morning I woke up thinking we'd have a little bit tomorrow morning, and that would be it, then I sat in school to hear it would be quite a bit over Friday and Saturday, and now I'm sat here thinking 'REALLY?!' because it's changed yet again! Now, they're saying we're going to have a fair amount of snow over Friday, Saturday, Sunday AND Monday... Believe me, I don't mind missing school and stuff, but I was sort of looking forward to playing cricket this weekend, and being able to see my Dad before his birthday, now both of these are looking unlikely.. The snow is great and it's VERY useful when taking photos, BUT you end up not being able to get anywhere, not being able to do much, and getting behind on a few days of school work, which isn't great, anymore.. Sat in those English lessons today talking about sweltering heats and the warmth of the sun, with my Mum texting me every now and then saying 'It's snowing!' and then 5 minutes later texting again to say 'It's stopped!!' The British weather needs to make it's mind up, it either needs to snow loads tonight so they call school off nice and early, preferably BEFORE I get there... Or it needs to be a little bit to make it look pretty but not cause too many disruptions... Personally, I love the snow, although I'm beginning to realise the for the people that hate it, do you hate the snow, or do you hate all the inconveniences caused by uncautious drivers, school closures, train delays and phone/electricity lines that can't take it so collapse on a house or a tree or a car...
Anyway, I'm off out for a walk in the snow that's just started outside... :P

Feel free to comment below, do you like the snow? Do you miss the summer?

16th January 2013: The 10 Day Countdown...

Ok, so today's photo is basically my favourite so far. Anyway, today I'm feeling a lot better. I only had two lessons today, both English Lit but with different teachers, both were pretty boring. In between these lessons, which were annoyingly 1st and 5th, I went to Bookers to get some stuff for the fundraising evening, and only need to go again next week, to get final things, 10 day countdown. After that I went back to my grandparents house and had lunch with them, which was nice :)
Haven't really done much today other than that, so pretty boring I guess.
To finish, I found it quite disturbing this morning, when I went on the BBC website and saw the story about the African Elephants that are increasingly at risk because of poachers, that selfishly hunt these elephants for their tusks. I don't know whether I have become more aware of these stories, because I've watched more of these nature programmes about African animals recently, or whether because there has generally been an increase in these stories. But, I struggle and consequently don't know whether to feel sorry for these poachers or not? They obviously feel it a worthwhile thing to do to get by and live, but do they feel they should go to an absolute extreme of sawing the front of an elephants face off, just to earn some illegal money? Maybe, 'they do it because they have to' but I still can't quite get my head around it. As there are guards around the National Parks, who try and protect the elephants and say it's a case of 'shoot or be shot'.  Then there's people in our country worrying about some horse meat in some burgers... It's when you see a story like this in the news that you realise how lucky we are to be able to go out to a supermarket and pick whatever we want, whereas these people in Kenya have to something as severe as this to get money for food.

Thank you and feel free to leave comments below :)

15th January 2013: laying with my eyes shut.

I've basically spent most of my day today, laying in bed, either asleep or just with my eyes shut. I've had a splitting headache most of the day and I've hated every minute of it. I'm the sort of person, that is always on the move and to be fair, laying in bed for an extra 8 hours, whilst getting up to go and drop some work off for a teacher and sitting in a PE lesson in between... is horrible!!
I'm feeling a bit better now, but having lous people in the house, obviously doesn't help... So fingers crossed it's cleared off in the morning!
Heard about HMV going into administration... Which personally I feel is a massive shame... and if they do end up closing down their stores, I'm not gonna be happy... I feel that in recent years, technology and the internet has possibly taken over a bit too much... You could say it replaces jobs, and clearly makes the need for a shop non-existent. I feel that although the internet is great for certain things, like keeping in touch with people, writing blogs and sharing ideas, discovering new musical talents etc. It steps over the line with other things... First, woolworths closed down... Then everyone had to get cd's and dvd's from HMV, but now... there is the likes of ITunes... However, I think ITunes defeat the point of music, as I actually enjoy going to a shop and buying a physical copy of a CD, others may disagree and say you can connect an iPod to anything nowadays, but it's not the point. It makes you think 'are there going to be any shops left in a few years time?' Me and a friend were walking down the high street and it was amazing the amount of shops, that had either closed down over the christmas holidays, or were holding closing down or final clearance sales...

14th January 2013: Twelve Days Of Stressors...

Today we had snow!! It didn't last very long, but it was still around...
Also, I was happy to see this morning when I looked at the BBC Sport website in my free 2 unlikely news stories were there... The first being about England Women's Football team having their contracts increased... The second about Sarah Taylor, the current England Ladies wicket-keeper and vice captain of Sussex Women... Someone I looked up to whilst keeping for Surrey.. She has been backed by coach, Mark Lane to have opportunities to play for Sussex Men's second XI if required... This would be a groundbreaking move for not only Taylor, but for women's cricket and sport. Good Luck Sarah!
Finally for today... It's the 12 day countdown to the fundraising evening I'm holding, and I'm starting to panic... Trying to stay calm and do things bit by bit, as well as do homework and coursework is... challenging. Anyways, here's hoping I can get through it, and avoid as many stressors (learnt today in psychology) as possible...

13th January 2013: what a cheescake.

More of a picturesque photo today, went for a walk in the cold, whilst the roasted pepper cheescake was cooking in the oven. We got home and tried it and it tasted pretty good... Definitely a possibility for the vegetarian option at the fundraising evening. Good news, we've nearly sold all the tickets :D
I've managed to sit down and finally get some more of my english lit coursework done, and I'm doing some PE in a minute. I'm definitely going to be doing another blog on the back of this, which will be a book/film/music review a week... As I'm actually enjoying doing this, although naming the blog entrys is becoming a daily challenge, and the ideas for photos too, so there might be some drawings coming up...
Back to working hard tomorrow, considering how tired I'm feeling right now, I'm really hoping we don't have too much to do in lessons, otherwise I might not be quite with it in psychology :S

12th January 2013: The Unnamed Entry...

The Unnamed Entry... because I wasn't imaginative enough tonight to come up with a name for today... The photo of today, is of a recipe for a vegetarian option we might be doing at the fundraising evening, and the plate of food next to it was my lunch... My new favourite... scrambled egg and herbs on toast with cheese and tomato ketchup, sounds disgusting but its pretty good!
Didn't do that much today, picked up raffle prize from a shop, ordered a poetry book for English Lit.. read some more of Life of Pi, then came home and fell asleep for like 2 hours by accident :/ then watched some more of Harry Potter with my sister again, we're onto the 5th one now!!
Now to start designing a programme/hand out thing not sure what one it's going to be yet... But yeah, I suppose I should finish my PE work that's due monday  as well... I think tomorrow's going to be a day for lots of work...

that's it for now folks!

Friday 11 January 2013

11th January 2013: Promotion!

So today, I had four lessons, sports leaders, psychology, PE and English Lang, and all were pretty laid back. I checked my emails and sorted out replies for raffle prizes and reserved tickets so all is good there :) In my free today, I read Life of Pi, and found it quite refreshing that there were about 4 other people in the common room just sat reading, there were a variety of books, and granted one person then remembered why he'd stopped, but even so it was pretty good whilst it lasted.
Quite an average day I guess, haven't done much, although exciting news! I've been helping out at a local Kids Club on Friday evenings, I originally started as part of my volunteer section for DofE Silver, however I really enjoyed helping out, and it's really rewarding at the end of a long week, anyways, I've been more of a floater I guess, but now I've got a team! I guess it's not that big a deal, but it's some responsibility and 'healthy competition'.. So yeah, I'm head of Team Green :P yayy!!

Anyways, I'm off to watch Celeb Big Brother, how am I still watching it?! X_X

evan. :D

Thursday 10 January 2013

10th January 2013: What If Dinosaurs Came Back?

Today, I had a late start, then had two PE lessons, one was half practical and involved me feeling very unfit on a rowing machine... and the other was average theory stuff and my english class was non-exsistent. I went to a certain camera shop that is closing down soon in lunch though, and walked in to a woman having a go at the guy on the till, his face was quite amusing...
Then I came home and did PE work and Sports Leaders stuff and then watched a bit of Harry Potter, then took my photo of the day, which is the hall from the floor... Since then, I've been reading Life of Pi, which I'm now allowed to read as wider reading for English Lit :D and I've been listening to Imagine Dragons... Also, I'm starting to think of doing a book review or something once a month? Seeing as I have to read more for English, I thought by doing this it would make it a bit more worthwhile? I dunno? Books I want to read, are Life of Pi and The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud. Then there'll probably be others I see or have to read... :)

ALSO! Ebony Rainford - Brent (ex Surrey & England cricketer) is now doing a blog, and her latest one I found very interesting and well written... It's titled 'Women's Sport - The Hidden Powers of Social Media' http://ebonyjewelrainfordbrent.com/

9th January 2013: Woke Up This Morning Feeling Fine.

woke up this morning feeling fine. made myself breakfast... scrambled egg with herbs and cheese on toast... it was surprisingly good. after only having one lesson today, where all we did was talk about what we're doing in the next topic, I  could have gone home two hours before I did, I had to wait for my sports leaders lesson to be told here's the work go away and do it... then getting home taking my photo of the day and sorting out tickets to hand out, then watched Harry Potter with my sister, where we both fell asleep... the photo of today, isn't the original photo... i went to put the photo from my camera onto the computer, any computer... and its not working!!! this is the year, that i really didn't want my camera to pack up... i'm not happy. Either a trip to a camera shop or a computer shop is in order, as to be fair, neither of the camera's in the house are connecting to the computer saying that it's not recognised? any ideas? although, i do know my USB connector isnt working with my camera.. so that's gonna need to be sorted.
sorry for the blog today, hopefully i can sort it fairly easily, but until then, back to grainy photos from my phone i guess. on the plus side i've now had over 300 views... which is insane!!

8th January 2013: You Went Up A Mountain?

Sorry for the late post... Both the cameras and connectors decided they were going to be anti-social this evening, 2 and a half hours later...I've got the photo onto a computer the longest way possible... Anyways!! Today at sixth form wasn't too bad, quite a long day, but what do you expect from 4 hours of English and 1 hour of psychology...
I had a rather amusing lunch, with people telling me they'd been reading my blog and stuff, so thank you for that!! But, I went with a group of friends up the mount or 'the mountain' as Alisa misheard me call it... ha ha! Whilst we were up there I took my photo of the day, which I have edited slightly, by black and white focusing it showing new and older buildings in contrast... And we also tried the classic High School Musical jump... We didn't succeed...
Back to school we went...
I'm sat here with my lazy eye kicking in, thinking 'YES!! I don't have to be in til 11.10 tomorrow!!! :D'
Mwahahahahha!

evan. :)

Another thank you to everyone reading this! I've now got around 225 views, which is ridiculous!! Thank youu :)

7th January 2013: Dance Like Nobody's Watching (unless it's the funky chicken) Then Just Stop.

A week into #aphotoaday and I've got my camera set up :D
Back to sixth form today and to be honest didn't really do very much. Had English Lit first, and after our teacher telling us that she was dissapointed in us, and reminding us that it'll be us with the bad grades, all because no-one had got a book of poems... right ok then? Onwards and upwards to our double psychology lesson where we had a cover lesson making posters... spent lunch playing cards and then had English Language, and being told that in two lessons, our teacher is going to start the revision for our exams, i got a bit scared.
Finished my 2012 video at last!  Yay! Watched Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban... 'page 394'. Now sat deciding what EPs to get... I'm thinking Daley: Alone Together, Ben Howard's new one and Frank Hamilton in general.
Tomorrow, I've got a full day, 4 English lessons, and Psychology... so I'll try get out at lunch to take a photo or something.

6th January 2013: End Of Christmas. Back To Sixth Form.

This photo sums up today. The end of christmas holidays, and a half done job. All the decorations are now down, I've managed to finish PE and Psychology work, BUT english remains half done, on a school computer... I forgot to put it on my memory stick before the hols... nice one evan!
Another half done job, are the tickets that have been half done, they are designed, i've got the card, I just need to print them... I've had my hair fully cut today, asking Mum for a simple trim, and I've ended up with a near bob, so that's gonna be staying up for awhile unless I wear a hat...
Getting to see my friends tomorrow (yes, I have some!) after a long anti-social two weeks. On a random note, there's a playstation move controller in the bottom right corner... yesterday I played on it for probably a maximum of 10 minutes... My arms ache like mad!! Back to indoor cricket league in two weeks... could be interesting!! ha!

Anyways, I'm gonna go and watch the end of Got To Dance, print some tickets off and then wait for Celeb Big Brother... Rylan, Heidi & Spencer have made me come back everyday so far... Paula to go first.

Speak tomorroww!

5th January 2013: I've had an evan almighty day...

Right, today hasn't been the best... I managed to get a photo of Badger and the field, however it's grainy because I took it on my phone, as I still haven't found my battery charger for my camera. I managed to do a few questions on the mock psychology paper we got set for the christmas holidays, however, the english coursework has been left to the last minute, and a certain teachers probably won''t get done . Still.
I've managed to go and put a bunch of letters in the post without stamps on because I mixed up the piles, even though me, mum and maria are pretty sure we double checked them, hence the Evan Almighty day...
Now I'm sat in my pyjamas and hoody, eating Jaffa Cakes, watching Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets waiting for Splash! which looks pretty good... back to school in just over a day, and I'm really not looking forward to it. I guess the only thing I'm looking forward to is sitting in the common room falling asleep in a free that I should probably be spending more effectively doing all this english coursework  that 'I'm so far behind on'.

4th January 2013: Nature's non-existent...

Today, I did some work, typed out a lot of company addresses, went outside to look for spiders/insects in their usual places, but it must have been too cold for them and they must have gone home for their coats or something, cos there weren't any :( The birds decided to stay in today too and the garden almost looked dead...
But, I went to Bookers today to look up prices for food and stuff and thought this was a valid photo. I'm getting a bit bored of these sort of photos myself now, so I'll try get out with a coat on a walk over the road to the field to see Badger (the horse) or find a flower? are there any flowers in winter? ignore that comment, i'm tired and I've realised I'm missing Dumping Ground, so watching the repeat tomorrow will have to do!!
Anyways, off to eat scampi and chips and then do some babysitting and earn some more money for Kenyaa :)

3rd January 2013: You Are Live. Please do not swear...

So, today I got up late yet again, had breakfast, and got on with the day. I've tidied my room, done some PE work, got invites out, and ordered a certain EP...
I've spent today either in the house or in the car, dropping things round houses, feeling like Santa... So, instead of a photo of inside a house, you got my feet in some shoes with my well known odd and colourful laces in the car.
I might venture into the garden tomorrow for a nature photo of a bird or spider or if there's a nice sunset I might take that...
Ooh, Celeb Big Brother starts tonight!! Knowing me I'll probably watch the first two nights and the final and that'll be it!
Enjoy you're evening!

2nd January 2013: ooh unicorns!

Today,  I got up late, had a bowl of coco pops and did everything I could to avoid English coursework. I've got together the photos for my 2012 video (that I was intending to have finished and posted 3 days ago). I've written the letters for the fundraising evening, had lots of food and listened to multiple albums.
The pile of paper you can see in the left of the photo is the work I should be doing now, but instead I'm writing this and setting up a Harry Potter film to watch with my sister. However, I will make sure I have done at least 2 pieces of PE  homework by 9pm tonight, otherwise I'll posting a very similar photo tomorrow.

I'm thinking that unfortunately, until Monday most of the photos are going to be of my work/cds/computers so I'll try to get one of outside tomorrow, and try and get it on my camera (but I'm currently trying to remember the safe place I put my battery charger).
Also, if you want any music to listen to all the CDs in the photo are great:
 Halcyon - Ellie Goulding
The Evolution of Man - Example
Fools EP - Lauren Aquilina
18 Months - Calvin Harris
Ten - Girls Aloud

1st January 2013: The Start Of Something New

I've got the High School Musical song stuck in my head!!!
So, to be fair, I guess 2013 is a massive challenge for me. 2012 was a great year so I can't say 'here's to a better year!'. 2012 saw me pass my GCSE's with a sneaky A in PE! Meet, sing Fools and have a Nando's with Lauren Aquilina, and  it saw me wear a dress, yeah with converses, but I was in a dress! Swiftly onto 2013...
There have been many things I've always wanted to do and 2013 seems to be the year! I'm due to go to Kenya in October, my family reckon they're going to get me on the London Eye in fancy dress to fundraise and I might actually do a long distance cycle! As well as these big things, I'm going to be trying to pass AS Levels, get my first half century in women's cricket and I'll be seeing Girls Aloud live. This blog/collection of photos is going to be a day to day account of my year. Either involving a photo of what I've done that day, or something just generally relevant. So without further a do, here we go!

The reason I've chosen this collage as my first photo is mainly because I spent today either doing a dummy run of the fundraising meal I'm going to be holding later this month, sitting down listening to the Skylarks album with their new avid fans (my grandparents and mum) or laying down sleeping. Today went a bit too quickly for me to actually realise I should have taken a specific photo of something so I put this together, tomorrow I promise I'll take a photo of something a bit more interesting. Saying that I am starting to worry that is the first day of 365... wish me luck!
